After the glow

Chihuly Glow!

Chihuly Glow! (Photo credit: cobalt123)

Across the spectrum
light and ambience
move in rhythm
bathed in color

Cross the threshold
to find one’s way
out from under
the dimmest pane

Fresh pigments
splash the pavement
the windows dressed
in mosaics of worn tile

Then the heat does
recede into itself
to cool the vibrant
textures now at rest.
